I thought so at first, but I wouldn't bet on it. Grab your Vita and compare it to the photo - it's taken using a very wide angle lens. As you can see, it has distorted the curve of the D-Pad and played some lighting tricks there, and has likely done the same with the analogue sticks.
I kinda hope this is true, though. And that any new model accepts SD cards. :P
The sad thing is that we were so excited when we backed it last year - we wanted and needed something new and exciting. The problem now is that the PS4 and Xbox One are just around the corner (not forgetting Tegra 4, Shield, Project MOJO etc), and we've not got plenty to look forward to.
Oh, and the total lack of decent exclusives doesn't help. The few truly brilliant games are jumping ship already, such as TowerFall and Ittle Dew.
The price drop isn't official - that article says that retailers are free to set their own prices and compete on their own terms. They're doing just that by the looks of things!
Zavvi have massively dropped their prices according to a new thread - http://n4g.com/news/1337532...
As the article says, just because Sony can't set the RRP in the UK doesn't mean that we won't get some mean deals over here. Retailer competition is going to be fierce.
Vita is region-free, so yeah, it's more than possible. That said, I stupidly thought you meant actual satellites at first. Like, from space. Space importing would be very expensive, if awesome. #imanidiot
My idiocy aside, shipping could well offset any potential savings.
Agreed, the fact that retailers can set the pace means that they're more free to viciously compete with each other. Meaning that we win!
It was a bit unprofessional IMO, but absolutely warranted. Microsoft failed to show a united front in a press conference of their own, and look directionless as a result of all these recent U-turns. Not that I'm complaining too much, mind, because the Xbox One launch titles do look spectacular.
Not quite, old chum. Wrong hemisphere, perhaps?
Us Amiga owners have waited long enough, though whether we'll like it is another thing entirely. Still holding out for the Uridium 2 remake of my wildest dreams, mind.
Hopefully Sony can make a decent fist of this, they've worked with Reflections and what used to be Psygnosis long enough to get it right!
Heh, there were a few tidbits (Terminators: The Video Game WTF?!) - expected a bit more from the Sony conference though in terms of surprises. Lots of pleasing announcements though.
Oh God no. Not Reef. Please not Reef. http://www.reef-entertainme...
That Rambo game they're publishing had better be awesome...
Agreed - and confused as to why this could possibly be getting disagree votes. It's time we cleaned up our act.
Sad and pathetic. Well done for calling these idiots out PSU.
It's a different kind of "fun," surely? SR4 is like a fast food snack AFAIK, instantly satisfying but probably won't last. Whereas GTA V will be like a five course meal.
Both approaches are fine by me, and I'll be getting both games.
I highly doubt it, but it's possible that X1 will miss a couple of regions - especially if they're still tinkering with the OS. Japan will definitely only happen next year (good luck with that MS).
Apparently the PC servers are barely holding up, too.
Yes, but it's Levine doing all the talking ;)
IMO the most damning figure is the 10,000 consoles sold in Europe and Australasia. Ninty has totally dropped the ball over here even at launch, with almost no advertising or retail presence whatsoever.
Doesn't hugely bother me, despite being a day-one adopter, since my 3DS currently never leaves my hands. It's magnificent.
Planetside 2 is utterly amazing, but not really sure why it needs a retail edition? It's free to download, and you already need a decent internet connection to play it.
A couple of people above reckon it could be exposure - I suppose that must be it. Hell, if I ever need 1000SC, I guess this could be a fun way of getting it while also netting some extra bonuses (though still have loads left over from a 3X sale).
Well spotted! Myth TOTALLY BUSTED.
